Understanding the Power of Visual Learning
The golf swing happens in three dimensions, and Swing Genius lets you master it that way. By leveraging the power of spatial blueprints, you’ll let your natural athleticism and spatial understanding optimize your swing. Below are some tips on how to make the most of this revolutionary technology.
If you haven’t already viewed them within the app, we highly encourage you to watch our onboarding videos, which will give you insight into how Swing Genius works and how effective it can be:

Important Notes:
- In order to make the most of Swing Genius, you will need to have a solid understanding of the golf swing.
- We encourage you to take lessons with a local golf teaching professional, particularly if you are new to the sport. A lesson will help you learn the fundamentals, avoid critical mistakes, and know what to work on in Swing Genius.
- If you’d prefer to self-study, we highly recommend watching Athletic Motion Golf’s videos on YouTube. The team at AMG provides a data-driven approach to golf instruction and is great at using visuals to explain complex concepts.
The Power of Reference Swings
Reference swings are motion captured movements that serve as models for learning a new concept or changing technique. Here are the steps:
- Turn the swing plane on and place recording gates
- Swing slowly with a specific focus (maintaining posture, swinging on plane, shifting weight, etc.)
- Tip: Use physical swing aids such as a pressure shift board or connection ball to ensure you’re practicing optimal technique.
- Review motion replay to verify proper movement
- Place objects along the recorded club path (or use the path as a reference to place objects on plane)
- Practice swinging accurately through objects with increasing speed
